Spring Rounds (A Paean) - the slower movement with the guitar and bass beginning the song with a strange bird-like melody. This fades away into a slow lumbering texture in which the guitars and rhythm section are separated through counterpoint. Near the end the tempo of the song changes drastically to be blistering quick with simplistic melodies in the guitars and a drone in the bass. The song ends as it began - with a strange bird like melody and a sample of the river in which the victim was drowned.
